For the last 20 years I have been making Florida my home part time. Working in the UK as consultant Chartered Building Surveyor I often had a few weeks spare out of choice between projects. Florida became my playground as my sport activity at the time was free fall skydiving and with consistent blue skies here I was hooked. I came to a point in my life when I decided to stop thinking about making the move to Florida and just do it before it becomes too late.
Six years ago I made the permanent move and located myself in Kissimmee Florida. Having set up a very successful Home Inspection company I soon fell into the American lifestyle with and was enjoying the abundance of space. I shortly moved out of my three bedroom villa to a quieter area four bedroom villa in Davenport.
My specialty was dealing with British clients wishing to purchase in Florida who required a professional working with them to the higher UK standards of property inspections. I was often asked if I could also sell homes so decided to become a Florida Realtor.

I became active within The British American Chamber of Commerce and met my British wife Laura. While having a wonderful romance we married in 2007 on the end of a wooden pier looking over the Bahamas Sea.
The walk in closets in our bedrooms began to fill up very quickly with Laura’s extensive shopping trips and we soon had to move again to an even bigger four bedroom home in more residential Windermere. |
As anyone who lives in Florida knows, the house in never big enough, family and friends soon discover their regular holiday home is now yours. With the market prices in Florida very favorable at the moment in 2008 and the Macys store having regular sales in the woman’s departments we are now considering moving to an even bigger home locally with yes bigger walk in closets for Laura!

The key to our success is hard work, happiness and investment. Each time we moved we didn’t sell up we rented the previous property out long term generating an income for the next one and we had very minimum outlay on the first one the rest was relatively easy. |

We often return to the UK for business meetings with overseas clients, referring partners and to meet up with family and friends heading straight for the pub followed by the traditional British evening meal at the local curry house. We originated from different ends of the UK. London & Wigan; both made the move to Florida under our own steam met married and are still living happily ever after.
We both work very hard at running our business assisting many more British, European and International clients live their dream with purchasing, relocating or investing in Florida and we truly believe that our personal experiences and professionalism make it work for others also.
